Rather than cluttering up your email with a lot of detail - we decided to
create our newsletter online... and just send you the link. Hope you enjoy!
2011 was an awesome musical experience for the band. We were
fortunate to enjoy a lot of gigs outdoors, and except for a couple of
rain-outs at Sprecher's, we managed to beat the weather and have a great
time.
Seems live music is a summer thing these days, as folks tend to stay
close to home in the winter - maybe the economy? It works our for
ODNT though, as Ron, being a retired old guy - has to take his lovely
wife to Wrinkletown Florida for a couple of months to escape the cold.
Big news on the drum throne! Joe Durow - our good friend and
masterful drummer, decided that life was a little too busy with a
demanding day job, another gig with some old high school friends, and
the necessity to be home at least once in while with his significant
other. We understand completely and wish him well!
Taking over on drums is our old friend Tony Hakenson, who played with us
a few years ago. Tony brings a unique mix of hard rock and finesse - and
has settled in on the kit without a hitch. Welcome T!
The band spent a weekend recently recording tracks of most of our set
list for a DVD demo that will be available soon. Thanks to our
friend Dave Montesino (Aztec Studios) for helping us out. Tracks
will also be posted on YouTube.
Look for us back on the stage in April - maybe sooner, as Ron will be
commuting between Madison and Punta Gorda Florida.
